What is Pushko?

Pushko is a donation kiosk built for synagogues and Chabad centers — a modern, digital pushka.

A tablet sits in your lobby. A visitor simply taps an amount, taps their card or phone, and they’re done in just a few seconds.

No QR codes. No complicated process. Just a fast, seamless donor experience.

Common questions

What hardware do I need?

Three things, and you may already have some of them: an Android tablet running Android 8.0 or newer, a stand or wall mount to hold it, and a Stripe card reader. Tablets with NFC can take contactless cards directly using Stripe Tap to Pay, with no separate reader at all. Any standard tablet stand works — countertop or floor.

Where does the money go?

Straight into your own Stripe account. Pushko never holds or routes your donations, and payouts reach your bank on Stripe’s normal schedule.

Can donors give monthly?

Yes. A donor chooses one-time or monthly on the same screen, and a monthly gift is set up with the same single tap — they never have to return to the kiosk.

Do donors get a tax receipt?

Every successful donation emails a receipt automatically, including each monthly renewal. You edit the wording and add your organization’s legal name and EIN once.

Does it handle Shabbat and holidays?

The kiosk pauses itself from candle-lighting until havdalah, using the times for your city, and resumes on its own afterwards. Nobody has to remember to switch it off.

Is it available in Hebrew?

Yes — donors switch between English and Hebrew with one tap.
